Which Standsome is right for me?

Depending on how you work best we recommend you the following models:

 

If you prefer working mainly with your notebook, the Standsome Slim is right for you. If you would love to have extra space next to your notebook, we recommend the Standsome Slim with wide plate.

 

If you rather work with an external keyboard, mouse and monitor, the Standsome Double is the one for you. It comes with two plates. Place your monitor on the upper plate, and keyboard and mouse on the lower one.

 

If you wish to have a working space made for both standing and sitting you should go for our freestanding standing and sitting desk Standsome Free. It is also the perfect choice for you if you give many lectures and speeches or work as a trainer or presenter.

 

All in all, decide depending on your preferred and most common working situation. For an overview we also recommend this page showing all Standsome models in comparison.

 

A lot of our customers also found our augmented reality app helpful. Using it, all of our products can be placed virtually in your office or personal workspace – and you get a great impression which size and color suits you best. You can find all information on our app here.

Can I use the Standsome with an iMac or larger monitor?

Many of our customers use their Standsome with a 24 or 21 inch monitor and are very satisfied with this set up. The Standsome can also withstand an iMac as well as other monitors with 27 inches: TÜV Rheinland has approved weights up until 15 kilograms / 33lbs. If you are unsure about this issue we’ll be happy to provide further assistance – just write us an email.

Can I use the Standsome Slim or Standsome Free with two plates?

Sure!
You can find an additional wide plate for both models right here in our online shop:

If you would love to have an additional plate in regular width (50 cm / 19.7 inches), please send us an email or call us.

 

As for the Standsome Double, two plates of 67 cm / 26,4 inches width are standard. For the white version we now offer an extra wide plate with 90 cm / 35,4 inches which definitely works with two monitors – or seven coffee mugs. As you wish, make yourself at home!

Can I also work while sitting using the Standsome?

Our standing desk, the Standsome Free, is made for both standing and sitting. Just put the plate on the respective height.

Our desk tops, models Standsome Slim and Standsome Double, can also be used while sitting: Just put the Standsome on the floor and work sitting cross-legged or on a seat cushion.

Can I order your standing desk Standsome Free in white or black also?

You can preorder the Standsome Free in white upon request. Please be prepared that delivery will take longer. Our partner is preparing for its production right now.

 

If you are interested in the Standsome Free in black, you need to be a little bit more patient since we cannot tell yet whether a black version will be available in the foreseeable future or not. But of course you can put your name down for that option – which gives us a good hint for the actual demand. 🙂

Can I personalize my Standsome?

You sure can. All our Standsome models in the colors crafted and white can be personalized with an individual laser engraving. Please note that a laser engraving is not yet an option for all black models.

 

If you are interested in a laser engraving, please order your desired Standsome model in crafted or white in our online shop. Following that, please send your gravure request to info@standsome.com. If you are unsure about this issue we’ll be happy to provide further assistance – just call us or write us an email.

After purchase

How long is the warranty on my Standsome?

If you use your Standsome properly – which means, not as a dance floor, a seat for unexpected guests, in your steam sauna or to get to this hidden chocolate on top of you kitchen cabinet – then we’ll guarantee you a lifetime warranty on your Standsome.

How do I properly maintain my Standsome?

The Standsome is varnished – note that the final hardness of the surface is reached approximately 14 days after varnishing. Do not cover the furniture in the beginning, so that the varnish remains in contact with ambient air. The varnishes used are natural, environmentally friendly, skin and saliva resistant, but as always, don‘t overdo it. Natural wood and unpredictable environmental conditions (intense heat, extreme cold) in combination could cause the varnish to peel off. Clean the surfaces with a mild, non-abrasive cleaning agent. A slightly damp cloth is sufficient.
Color and texture differences are normal. Due to the influence of sunlight and weather conditions, the color shades may change. Wood is a natural material, it reacts to changes in humidity and temperature with swelling and shrinkage.
The ideal climate for the Standsome is about 55 – 65% relative humidity at about 20 – 22°C (68 – 72°F) which is also a healthy living environment. Also don’t leave candles or similar unattended on the Standsome or near it. Use non-inflammable coasters.

Where is my order?

You can check the status of your order in your customer account. As soon as we have prepared your order for delivery you will find a tracking link there. Also, you will receive an email containing the tracking link.

You can find your customer account going to top navigation, then clicking on ‘Shop’ > ‘My Account’.

Can I order to other countries than Germany?

Basically yes. Please find more information on our shipping options page.

Can I order on account?

Of course you can. Please send an email to kunden@standsome.com listing your desired model, your billing and shipping address as well as your telephone number.

My payment did not go through, what can I do?
