It’s a movement!
Dear journalists and media representatives,
welcome to our press page.
We want to change the working world and make it a healthier place, but in order to achieve that, we’ll be needing your help. #mediaagainstbackpain
Please find everything you will need to write about Standsome on this page. You would like to interview our founder, or get to know even more about us? We are always happy to help – please send an e-mail to [email protected].
The Standsome is an upgrade with a mission: To make everyone’s working day healthier and more sustainable. To achieve this, it transforms any standard desk into an individually height-adjustable standing workstation – set up in seconds using the plug-in principle. What matters to the Standsome is the right standing, both externally and internally: It not only strengthens the back of its users and helps them to achieve a healthy posture, but also shows backbone through all phases of production: made exclusively from FSC-certified birch wood in Germany, packed plastic free, and shipped in a 100 percent climate neutral way. With every Standsome sold we donate to Life-Giving Forest e.V. to plant a tree in the Philippine rainforest. These are all reasons why Standsome was nominated for several prices, among others the German Sustainability Award 2021 and the Green Product Award 2021.
We sit. We sit all day. We sit for too long. We move way too little.
This leads to backpain, joint disorders and skeletal diseases – which are some of the most common reasons for sickness absences.
The Standsome is our tool on our mission to integrate more movement and flexibility into our lives. It allows working while standing and invites you to change your body position again and again. But for us, it is not only about the physical posture. We want to change the inner posture, too. Which is why we produce fair and sustainable, cooperate with owner-operated, Germany-based crafts businesses, and plant a tree for every Standsome sold. Furthermore, the Standsome can be put on your pre-existing desk and, by that, reduces waste.
You would love to hear more about that? Please feel free to check out our mission page.
